WhatsApp Compliance: The 24-Hour Rule Just Got Real

If you’re using WhatsApp automations inside HighLevel, there’s a strict little rule that’s easy to forget:
You only get 24 hours to reply once a user engages. After that, it’s crickets unless you pay for a template message.

With the latest update, HighLevel now aligns its WhatsApp UI to reflect that window more clearly—so you can avoid non-compliant messaging before it ever goes out.

✅ Review your WhatsApp workflows right now
✅ Make sure no follow-ups are scheduled after the 24-hour mark (unless you’re using an approved template)

Translation: If someone messages your bot at 2 PM and you try to follow up at 3 PM the next day, that message won’t go through unless it’s templated. Better to fix it now than wonder why nobody’s replying later.
