There are several options for setting up the timing of campaign steps. This allows you to start entire campaigns or specific steps within a time window. This is useful if you want to ensure your campaigns go out only on certain days and/or times, such as Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
First, it’s important to understand the 3 options for the timing settings: WHEN, IF, and EXACT.
- When: When the campaign/step falls within this time, the campaign/step will send. If the campaign/step is triggered outside the set time, the campaign/step will wait until the approved time to send.
- If: If the campaign/step falls within this time, the campaign/step will send. If the campaign/step is triggered outside the set time, the campaign/step will move on to the next set campaign/step (if applicable).
- Exact: Sends at exact day and time (i.e. Monday at 9:45am)
- NOTE: this option is available for individual campaign steps only.
Once you understand these options, you can set up windows for the campaign as a whole, or for individual steps within the campaign.
- To set up the window option for an entire campaign:
- Navigate to Campaign Configuration
- Toggle on the Window option
- Select your desired settings
- Save
- To customize the time option for a particular campaign step:
- Click into the particular step
- Scroll down to custom time and toggle it on
- Select your desired settings
- Save
